Why is Depth Perception Important?

This video, from the show Brain Games, gives some insight into how the brain turns images into 3D so we can appreciate depth.  Many of our patients lack depth perception, or stereopsis.  This can manifest as clumsiness, poor spatial awareness, sports challenges, and more.  Vision therapy can actually help train the brain to use the images that each eye sees and turn them into a single image with depth.  Click here to watch!
